Maintenance at last

Colleen officially entered maintenance last Tuesday. Yippee!!!!! She went back to school on Tuesday and promptly finished 20 assignments online. Go Colleen!!!! She has a spinal with chemotherapy scheduled on Tuesday. Please pray that this will go well and cause minimal  pain. She is on prednisone which is an anti-cancer drug but is causing her to have quite an appetite and is on some other chemotherapy drugs orally. These drugs do not make her as ill as the IV drugs. Her classmates had a welcome back party on Wednesday which really made her day.

On Halloween, we drove 4 and a half hours each way to pick up our new Boston Terrier Reebok and at 5am the next morning Ryder our other new Boston Terrier arrived with my mom and dad special delivery from Missouri. Reebok is a 5 lb, 9 week old and Ryder is a 2lb 2 oz six week old Boston. Needless to say we are quite busy trying to potty train 2 babies at once. Reebok is really laid back and Ryder is a bossy little spit-fire. I guess he has to be to survive at 2 pounds. Our plan is to train the puppies to be therapy dogs and take them to Children's Hospital regularly to bring some happy moments to kids who are sick. We cannot think of a better way to give back. Colleen really enjoyed the therapy dogs that came to visit. It is amazing how pets can help them forget that they are sick for a short time and help them smile. We are rejoicing because Colleen is once again smiling regularly and genuinely enjoying life. We look forward to seeing God use Colleen for his glory.Thank you for your prayers.
